VeganFlix Video Seed Grant-2017

Veganflix is excited to provide our second annual seed grant to a new video in progress that explores/promotes animal justice and/or contributes to vegan awareness. This year we are pleased to announce that in association with our sponsor, the vegan hunger relief and food justice nonprofit, A Well-Fed World, this year’s winner will receive $2,500 along with promotion on our site and elsewhere.

2017 VeganFlix Video Seed Grant Application Information:

Video topic must be related to a vegan-positive theme (of any type) and/or animal justice topic. Video can be documentary, narrative, experimental, and in any genre, including animation, music, etc. and can be of any length. All stages of development are acceptable as long as you have a video trailer or a short video of you describing your project. Must be for a new video work not slated to be distributed  prior to 12.15.17. All persons from anywhere in the world are eligible; however the material submitted must be in English or have English subtitles.

Entries must be submitted by the project owner. There will only be one award prize regardless the number of individuals involved in the submission. If an applicant is younger than 18 years old, a verifiable parental consent form must also be submitted with application. Participants must own or hold all necessary rights (copyrights, etc.) to their film entry including any third-party copyrighted materials, music, works of art, etc. included in their productions.

All entrants must complete a grant application, along with a photograph that represents the video, and submit a trailer that shows their work in progress or a short video of the entrant describing their project. Application must be submitted digitally via the form on our website and must contain a URL link for the trailer via a personal or third-party video hosting site. There is no entry fee for this grant. Enter Here.

Submission period begins June 10th 2017 and is open until November 15th 2017.

The project granted will be selected by the VeganFlix Team and will be notified by December 7th, 2017. The criteria for selection is based on following: (i) project’s adherence to stated theme; (ii) contents of application and trailer or short video of entrant that clearly articulates vision; (iii) ability of seed grant to make a difference to the project. (iv) compelling project Image

Also, there are many worthy projects that we wish we could fund, but won’t be able due to constraints.  So know in advance that if your project is not selected, it it has nothing to with how awesome you and your project are!

Except where prohibited by law, the grantee’s participation in this grant program constitutes their consent to VeganFLix the use of the Grantee’s name, the Video title, likenesses, the submitted Project Image and trailer, for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without further payment or consideration.
