Since 2016, VeganFlix Studio has awarded seed grants to emerging and established filmmakers who foster vegan visibility and/or animal rights through their work. We’ve had the opportunity to support many awesome creators over the years and today, we’re stoked to announce that our 2024 VeganFlix Seed Grant is now open for submissions!

Who Should Apply?

We encourage submissions from filmmakers of all backgrounds and experience levels. Whether you’re an established creator or finding your space in the scene, if you have a project that promotes vegan visibility and/or animal rights, we welcome you to apply. Our goal is to support diverse voices and innovative ideas that explore vegan themes.

How Much Is The Grant?

The 2024 grant amount is $500. It is possible we may have more than one grant available depending upon potential sponsorship.
We are indie creators ourselves who believe in the power of offering a financial boost to help other creators get their work out there. As we continue to grow, so will our grant program!

Submission Guidelines

 

• • Theme: Project must in some way contribute to positive vegan visibility and/or animal rights.

• • Project Length: 1 minute to feature length.

• • Project Stage: Any stage from pre-production to post-production.

• • Distribution: Films must not have been previously shown or distributed, including on YouTube or other streaming platforms.

• • Genres: Any genre is welcome.

• • Eligibility: Filmmakers from all countries are welcome, except (unfortunately) where legal stipulations prevent funds from being distributed from the United States.

• • Language: Films must be in English or have English subtitles.

• • Rights: You must own the rights to all materials used, including footage and soundtrack.

• • Usage Rights: VeganFlix Studio reserves the right to display the film or parts thereof for marketing or on our website. Note: This will be waived if your film gets a distributor and this conflicts with their contract. We want your film to be successful!

• • Vegan Requirement: No products derived from animals may be used in the production, including food for cast and crew, wardrobe, etc.

The deadline for our 2024 grant is October 6th, 2024.
