We’ve got news! We’re so happy we get to share our plans for 2024 and beyond, marking a new chapter filled with our ever growing passion and continuing resolve to promote vegan visibility and support animal rights advocacy.

New Look, New People, Same Passion

You might have noticed a few changes: new look, new projects, and new Sadie! We could not be happier that Sadie Rose, daughter of Sara Millman, is joining VeganFlix Studio. Sadie is a lifelong vegan, creator, and artist who is excited to be part of expanding the mediums in which VeganFlix Studio produces.

These changes reflect our excitement for creating in dynamic forms of media while remaining true to our core values of compassion and advocacy. Our mission remains: to foster positive vegan representation in the world of media, create more vegan community, and support animal rights through media.

Expanding Horizons

Film will always be core to the heart of our studio. While we’re not in the announcing stages yet, rest assured we’ve got some dynamic cinematic plans in store. For the now, we’re excited to reveal that we’re expanding into other storytelling mediums!

First up is Rough Cut Vegan, our upcoming graphic memoir. Written by Sara Abed Millman, edited by Sadie Rose, and illustrated by Sindy Self and Federico Duque, Rough Cut Vegan is about dreams, survival, and turning pain into action.

And that’s not all—we’re also excited to announce that the 2024 VeganFlix Seed Grant is now open for submissions! This grant is our way of supporting filmmakers who champion vegan visibility and animal rights with small seed grants and encouragement. This grant was first created in 2016 and it has been beyond amazing to see all of the wonderful filmmakers out there doing such creative and inspiring work.
